BE CAREFUL. I went to change my address.

I searched change of address and came upon this site that looks legit and just like the USPS site. I gave my credit card number and then received an email from a site that is not USPS! I tried to contact them and they aren't available. This is fraud.

They disguise themselves as USPS and sucker you in. Be careful!

This is a serious scam. The entire look and feel of the site feels like the US Post Office site.

I was shocked when I was charged nearly US$ 80.00 on my credit card. I normally pay US$ 1.05 for temporary change in mailing address. I was shocked when I saw a bill of US$ 79.95 on my credit card and started digging into it. This is when I found out it that it was a totally different Company.

I immediately called the hotline number to complain and they can cancel the order for me. For the innocent consumers, they could not tell the difference. I have done it several times with the genuine US Post Office Site.

However, today, when I was in a hurry to extend my temporary address move, I entered the information in the site thinking it was the new look of the US Post Office. As soon as I complained, the customer service person on the phone cancelled my order.

Go to USPS.com first and navigate that way. Google misdirects you.

Tried to charge me $39.90 to change the address. My credit card company, Chase.com, spotted the scam and rejected the transaction. Upon letting me know, I looked into it and discovered the false website I was on.

SCAM ALERT

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
This website is a scam. I WAS on the USPS website, no matter what the ‘customer service rep’ said. I went to the change address page from the USPS website and it must have somehow converted to this ‘change address website’. I put in my credit card info which I have heard is normal to ensure it is the right person. It DID NOT tell me what amount I was being charged, which I knew was odd. After a few days, I saw a charge for $44.50 on my credit card and my mouth was hanging open. I told my husband, who knew that amount was ridiculous, and I told my mother and grandfather who both said that wasn’t right and that you can change your address for $1.00 ish. I called the company, who kept repeatedly telling me “it has the disclosure information at the bottom and top of the pages.” After I told them about the problem, the guy went through the list of “not just the address change that I bought, but also all of the other benefits I ‘bought’”. Which is ridiculous because NO WHERE on the page that I put any of my information in, was there anything about these benefits he mentioned or the price attached. Who would go looking for just a simple address change and then want to spend $44.50? NO ONE. So he proceeded to tell me ‘he would be happy to send me an email with all of my benefits’. Well, why did I not get one, like with EVERY OTHER legitimate business, after I bought something? I said no, I wanted all of my money back. He then started talking about some type of ‘code’ that is worth $100 for something something restaurants etc. I said no. I don’t trust this company, and I never will. Of course, they can’t refund me everything, how else would this scam of a company stay in business? They can refund me $40 I guess. In 7-10 business days. And even until the end, he still was stating that ‘I must have gone to their website and the disclosure information is on the top and bottom on the pages.” This company is a scam, they need to figure out if they are an honest company, making honest money. There is no way I am the first or even close to it, to not realize and then ask for my money back. You get calls like this, probably thousands a day. I feel sad for the people who are scammed and never realize it. You are taking advantage of people and I will tell everyone I know about this scam.

Does anyone know which state this business is out of so I can file a complaint with the attorney generals office ? Or the FBI might be a better choice.

Huge Scam

As many others here have noted, they searched the internet for a change of address option to change it over the internet. For some reason, instead of the massive USPS website being there, it leads to the scam website that charges you a ton of money. I look to see I have an 80 dollar charge on my account, and am rightly upset. I am looking into getting this refunded, or even disputing the charge. That this exists is nonsense, especially when they didnt list what they would charge or any info.

I have been swindled before , but never have I encountered such an outright scam. I googled usps change of address and this site popped up looking like the usps. I gave them my info and credit card number and was expecting to be charged $1.05 , but when I saw the credit card statement it was for $39.94 with a recurring charge of $78.95 . I called them to get reimbursed as it was a mistake, but they would do nothing. I have since placed a complaint with the attorney generals office in the state of Arizona, contacted the post master generals office , and am preparing a complaint with the FBI. I see from the other complaints that this has been going on for years and I do not understand how they are allowed to get away with it;.

I am a retired dept of consumer services agent and I was suckered by this con

I was told by the post office I could change my address on line for $1.05 , searched usps change of address and I thought I has the postal service, but instead got (change it for you) with a logo that looked like the postal service. I entered the info and was expecting to be charged 1.05 , but instead was charged $39.95 with a monthly charge of $79'95 I tried calling them at the phone # listed 1 88******** , but they said they had no record of the transaction and could do nothing. I have since filed a complaint with the Arizona attorney generals office 602-542-**** and you should too if they scammed you.

DO NOT USE CHANGE-MY-ADDRESS.COM - IT'S A SCAM!!!!!

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Yesterday, I offered to help my sister change her address online. When I typed in USPS change my address this website came up first. I didn't think twice since it says: Postal Change of Address. They charged $1.00, which from the past I recall the post office doing the same. I put in all my information, paid, so I thought, the $1.00 and hit send. I received a receipt stating Thank you -Your Information has been submitted and Confirmation Details. When I woke up this morning I checked my bank account and $79.95 was taken out. Needless to say I was SHOCKED and PISSED. I immediately called the number listed and they gave me a fight. They said I said yes to all their "extra" offers which is why it came to $79.95. It took my entire lunch time to get them to say they will refund me minus $1.95 which they state it cost them to change the address. I DO NOT TRUST THEM so made sure I went on the official USPS website and changed it there. Let's see if they actually refund the money. Even if they do, it's still a SCAM and wastes your time trying to get it back!
